A Huge Thanks...

When Adalay was several weeks old my sister-in-law, Heather, sent us a gigantic tub of clothes for her.  However as much as I thought about sending a thank you note. I never did. I was lying awake last night thinking about how ANOTHER day had went by that I had not let Heather know how much I appreciated that super kind act of generosity. I decided today was the day I was going to at least get up a blog post to thank her.

So Heather, thanks for the washing, sorting, labeling, and packing that went into this!  

Thanks for each piece of clothing!  And especially for the little zebra print shoes...

And all the t-shirts...
And most of all thank you for the well dressed baby!
As much as I love these, we can't wait for an excuse to send them back to you for your next baby!  

She's getting so Big

Adalay had her 4 month well baby visit. She is growing like a champ and weighs in at 14pds 9oz she is tall at 25.5 inches but has a tiny little head that is in the 14% of children her age. Just the opposite of her 90th% head brother. She is 100% cute.

So with major thanks to Sarah (my BFF from 2nd grade) and this post (which I have read, and re-read at least a dozen times), I have finally made the jump to cloth diapers. I have wanted to do this since before I had Gavin but it was so much easier just to buy a box of diapers each month instead of paying for what seemed to be the gigantic start up cost of cloth diapering. Well, after months of buying one diaper at  time I finally have enough to get Adalay through 2-3 days before having to wash. 

Cloth diapers are irresistibly cute, I bought this diaper cover from from ReThink Crafts  at Etsy and I am very impressed with it so far (no leaks)! 

Adalay has decided the photo shot is officially over.

I am going to be making changes to this blog pretty soon. I am in the process of getting another one up and running. Once it is up I will provide a link so you can enjoy more Addy and G goodness.
Speaking of G...

I am all about letting kids being kids while I take their pictures and I can't stand cliche or cheesy, super posed shots. I swear this wasn't one!

Losing my thoughts?

Over the past couple days I have had all these (in my mind) great ideas of things to blog about. Now I can't remember even a smidgen of one of them. Oh well, here are pics of the kids instead... 

It may come as a surprise to you that Adalay is made up of more than just an incredibly cute head. It is hard to break out of the head shot habit...

She has now found her thumb. Gavin was never interested in his, so will see how this goes...

Have I mentioned how sexy my husband is. He is. Totally.
Gavin bored out of his mind because the food took no less than 30 minutes to arrive. I guess they were very special burgers.

Camping at the Lake

Every year, in July, we look forward to joining our good friends at the lake in West Texas.  This year was especially fun since last year's trip was cancelled.

Gavin loved being on the boat...

After a day of boating, tubing, fishing, and swimming Gavin looked a little overloaded...

So off for a nap he would go...

Dustin, I hope you enjoy your day and what we have planned for you! Nothing I plan/buy/do could equal what a great husband, father, son, and friend that you are. You are kind, generous, and easy-going and you are constantly challenging me and the kids to show more of these traits that seem to come so naturally to you. I am so proud of how you take care of our family and how you always trust God to provide. We love you very, very much and hope that your 32nd year is the best yet!!

I thought Adalay deserved her own post since her big brother has had the market cornered for the past two years. I also just received my long awaited Macro lens, and what could be better then close-ups of baby pieces!

 I couldn't decide which baby spit bubble was cuter...

I bought the lens for my photo business, mainly for wedding details. But if you have a macro lens you just have to take pictures of flowers, really, you won't be able to stop yourself...
