Our Week: Michiganders, Drunk Drivers, and Fevers

Our good friends Amie Jo and Beckett (We miss you Steven, but we can settle for Amie Jo and B whenever you would like to send them!) arrived last friday for a week long visit with their Texas friends. They have been greatly missed since their move to Michigan last August and it has been a spectacular, spectacular blessing to have them.

After I picked them up from the airport, we stopped to help a driver who had went off the road. The man was very much drunk and was eventually arrested. I was relieved no one was hurt and thankfully he had on his seat belt, but come on people: If you drink, don't drive-it's not rocket science.

Gavin had his first sickness and woke up with a high fever the other day, he has been sickness- free since birth and it hard on us to see him so flushed, congested and miserable. He wanted nothing to do with food but would nurse so it was good to know that he was at least well hydrated! He is on the mend now and ate pretty much all his chicken livers for lunch, nasty, I guess his cold is still affecting his taste buds.
