A Visit From GrandPops and Alligators

My Dad came down for a visit over Thanksgiving and we had a great time visiting all the nearby State Parks.  Brazos Bend State Park, was voted one of the top State Parks in the country and once we got there we understood why.

We saw millions of birds (literally. They flew in at dusk and a thick cloud of them stretched as far as the eye could see, this continued for at least 20 minutes), plenty of armadillos, and got a little too close to some over-friendly alligators.

This one swam right up to us and kept a very close on Gavin. So did we.

Gavin enjoyed the dock and watching the gators.  I felt the rails could have been just a Little higher!

Dustin grabbed a shot of us under this beautiful Live Oak.  The picture does not capture how massive it was.

Gavin ready to move on...

If you are in the area, I would highly recommend going to this gorgeous state park!

Oh, and by the way, it snowed today. In Houston Texas. I have no pictures , crazy it was near 80 degrees yesterday!
