Christmas Day

I wanted to get some pictures up before 2009 is officially here...
G and John reading a story on Gavin's new gigantic bear (courtesy of Baw-Baw and Gracie).

Gavin loves his books! *Happy Sigh* on my part.
Opening presents took FOREVER, as Gavin wanted to actually play and explore each item he received.  I am sure this is the only year we will encounter this!
A rare family portrait, seriously what do I have to do to get some family pics!

GrandPops Part Deux

The only picture I took of G on Thanksgiving. Weird.

Dad and G at Carrie's Coffee Mill, this is a great place to take the kids for a afternoon out. Plenty of animals, swingsets, and things to do. Plus it is owned by a really neat family...

A Visit From GrandPops and Alligators

My Dad came down for a visit over Thanksgiving and we had a great time visiting all the nearby State Parks.  Brazos Bend State Park, was voted one of the top State Parks in the country and once we got there we understood why.

We saw millions of birds (literally. They flew in at dusk and a thick cloud of them stretched as far as the eye could see, this continued for at least 20 minutes), plenty of armadillos, and got a little too close to some over-friendly alligators.

This one swam right up to us and kept a very close on Gavin. So did we.

Gavin enjoyed the dock and watching the gators.  I felt the rails could have been just a Little higher!

Dustin grabbed a shot of us under this beautiful Live Oak.  The picture does not capture how massive it was.

Gavin ready to move on...

If you are in the area, I would highly recommend going to this gorgeous state park!

Oh, and by the way, it snowed today. In Houston Texas. I have no pictures , crazy it was near 80 degrees yesterday!

November?!!

What happened to November!!?
The last month has flown by and I hardly believe December is underway.
I have plenty of pictures from Dad's visit to blog, and I am determined to have them up before the new year!

Here is some recent photos of Gavin feeding Columbus the pig

and being distracted by the cats...

More to come!

Random Pics

Friday Night Lights

The New Waverly Bulldogs are enjoying an undefeated season, and we are especially enjoying attending the games. Gavin loves to cheer and clap, and dance to the band...Afterward, he runs around the field and tackles John or chases the ball.

Just One

We are off for a couple days to celebrate our 10th year of marriage. In the meantime, I thought it was only fair to post a picture of G on his much neglected blog...

Port Aransas

We went to Port Aransas last week as sponsors for our church's youth group. We had a great time despite Hurricane Dolly and the torrential amount of rain and wind that the storm caused.
Gavin joined us for the first two days, he did not care for the beach this time but he did love when the youth group sang. The boy is a maniac on the dance floor. I will try to post a video of his latest dance moves at some point.
In the meantime here he is practicing his throwing techniques...

Beach Part 2

Here are a couple more pictures from last month's beach trip. Gavin, LOVED the sand. At first he just touched it with his fingers, and then he sat down to dig in it, then he laid face first and took a big bite. I don't think he could get close enough.

After a couple hours of beach fun, he was worn out...
The next couple weeks are going to be BUSY but I will try to put pictures up as often as possible!

Long Last Beach Pictures

So, I have been doing a terrible job posting images the past month. I have been trying to get a bunch of images ready, but time is too short right now, so instead I will just post a little bit at a time.

Here are some pictures from last months visit to Nags Head in North Carolina. These are Gavin's cousins Tristan and Camdyn...

No guarantees, but I will try to post more images from this trip over the next week.
